Planning and implementing our home sale and move was a lot more work than we imagined.
After 20 years living happily in our dream home, raising our daughter, caring for our elderly parents, and running 2 home-based businesses, we finally reached the point where our retirement was on the horizon.
We had learned a lot from clearing out and selling my parents’ properties. Lots of time, a few injuries, and ultimately, paying vendors to handle what we couldn’t taught us that we did NOT want to put our daughter through the same turmoil. We thought our home would be easier than our parents’.
Wrong!
My mobility was limited, and my husband was working. We needed help going through everything and deciding what to keep for our new, downsized lifestyle, and what to sell, donate, or send to the dump.
What I didn’t anticipate was the amount of stuff we had to let go of. . . and it was difficult because we didn’t know what our new place would look like yet.
That’s where YsaBella came in.
She was able to systematically help us go through things room by room and evaluate what would be needed in the future. This is harder than it sounds because of some uncertainty and the emotional attachment to things (e.g., “what if we need that!” “that has sentimental value”).
She connected us with the best options for selling, donating, essentially letting go when that was the right action. Since we’re downsizing significantly, this was crucial.
In addition, when it came to the painters, carpenters, and fixers, she has a great eye for detail and color, and made sure the vendors did their job correctly. She worked with our realtors on the walk through before listing to identify the things we should consider doing for our home to show as well as it can.
Most importantly, she supported my emotional state with gentle yet firm guidance and care through the whole process.
Ultimately, we couldn’t have done this move prep in the time or to the level of quality without her.
YsaBella was our interior designer when we bought the house 20 years earlier! She helped us choose our living room, kitchen, and bedroom furniture. She worked with vendors to paint the house to colors that matched our aesthetics, decorating each room beautifully. She helped design custom drawers and cabinets in our home office, as well as a new pantry in the kitchen.
YsaBella’s been with us since the beginning until the end, helping us live more comfortably and keep the house in good condition to preserve its resale value.

My wife and YsaBella, have worked with each other for several years, transforming our home for the holidays, combining her talent with my wife and her ideas. For over 10 seasons, our home became a "Holiday Showplace," and the envy of our neighbors and friends.
So, when it became necessary for a greater change, my wife and YsaBella got together to create a new home feel.
